How to Get a California Process Server Bond

< 1 Min. Read / Updated on March 3rd, 2021

New process servers in California often stall when they discover they need to post a $2,000 bond.

In fact, it’s the California process server bond requirement that turns many people away from the business.

That’s just silly. A bond is easy to buy.

Last time I checked, you could buy a two-year bond on the Internet for about $50-$100 dollars.

For a quick comparison, search Google for California process server bond.

I can’t recommend a specific agency because I’ve never been bonded in California, so exercise common sense when shopping around.

But don’t let something as simple as a bond stop you from becoming a process server.
